Ok, something new just came up. Christine and I have been needing to move for a while now, so I've been working hard to pull in paid illustration and even coding work. Comics have had to sit on the back burner. Well now we have a problem. Kitten, one of our awesome cats has developed some kind of infection. Not sure what, but the first vet appointment alone cost over $500. ^^;; Now Christine is a full time student, so I'm the only one with an income. Of course, we're going to spend whatever it takes to make Kitten better; that cat's been with Christine from one side of the US and back, twice! The trouble is, I'm not sure how much more this might cost, and we were already in a big financial crisis. So, I'm officially announcing an open door to commissions. I'm putting all other projects on temporary hold and I'm going to focus on getting art for you done ASAP, and I'll even squeeze as much comicing into this time as possible to show my appreciation. I'm hoping this will be a win for everyone.

Please note, this is NOT a call for donations! I haven't been updating for a while, and it would be unfair to ask that. I'm offering commissions, and I'm willing to negotiate on the pricing, so if you ever wanted some cheap Dave-arts, this is totally the time!

Here's the normal price breakdown:

• 8.5 x 11 pencils one character: $10.00 (click for example)


• 11 x 17 pencils one character: $20.00


• Add extra character: +$5.00 (3 max on 8.5 x 11)


• Lightly colored: +$10.00 (click for example)


• Inked +$10.00 (click for example)


• Inked and shaded +$15.00 (click for example)


• Colored pencils AND inks: +$25.00 (click for example)


• CG cell shading: +$20.00 (click for example)


• Inked and cell shaded: +$30.00 (click for example)


• CG painting: +$50.00-$100.00 (Varies on subject, style and detail)


• Background: +$10.00-$20.00 (Varies on size and detail)


• Digital file: Free! (just give me an e-mail addy)


• Shipping for original: +$5.00


• Extra prints: +$5.00


• Desktop wallpaper (any size): +$5.00 (Free if no editing is needed)


• EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS: Negotiable (Only for commercial and resale use of work provided.)


• Fine art drawing: Negotiable (Completely depends on work involved. Reference needed for portraits. Click for examples.)


• Murals: (Depends on size and subject matter. Willing to travel if costs are covered. $200 is a typical baseline)


• Logos: Negotiable (depends on use and company)


• Website code, images or designs are available upon request.


• Original music composition available upon request.


• Ninjas sent to harass another webcomic or Bill Gates: $5.00 per ninja. (Not always reliable, but hey, they're cheap!)

That's all I can think of. I hate doing the starving artist thing (A LOT) but this is for our kitty, so I'm going to swallow my pride and bust out some art. Please don't feel obligated to help, just think of this as an opportunity to score some art from me a little cheaper than normal. As soon as we're stable again, I'll be cutting back on commissions again. E-mail me any questions or requests for commissions, it's much faster than commenting.

Wow, all the votes have really motivated me to keep doing extra art. I'm coloring that megaman piece and will make it into a print soon. This time I've inked a fairly simple sketch that may also become a print:

I've gotten a lot of great feedback for the latest comic. Hehe, I'm such a fanboy.
The newest vote art is Megaman! :3 I've been meaning to draw Megaman for a long time. I think I'm going to keep posting art like this every few days.

In other news, I REALLY WANT SMASH BROS. BRAWL!!!!!  >_<  It's weird not owning a Wii, and it's taking a great feat of self control not to rush out and get one.  So many games I want are finally out! XD  Halo 3, Oblivion, Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, Twilight Princess...  I've neglected them all. TT___TT  Maybe this summer if the comics go well enough and I get settled somewhere,
Sooooo, how is it? :O  Give me some reviews!  I'm dying to play as Pit, Nes and JP!
